– Thank you to robo for writing the summary!

Game 1

Map: Baltic
Civilization: TaToH – Huns
                  Slam – Huns

The opening water fight was very even, with both players trading Demo Rafts and Fire Galleys but slam eventually took control by having 3 docks producing army compared to TaToH’s 2. TaToH switched into some Scouts and raided slam’s economy while also advancing to Castle age faster. Slam’s boom wasn’t as strong as TaToH’s but he retained control of the water until an unexpected usage of the Huns unique technology Marauders allowed TaToH to to flood Elite Tarkans into slam’s base from some sneaky stables in the corner. The Tarkans killed a lot of slams economy forcing him to resign.

Game 2

Map: Arabia
Civilization: TaToH – Ethiopians
                  Slam – Indians

Slam went for a very aggressive drush into archers with forward towers to deny some of TaToH’s woodlines, but he was unable to do enough damage to prevent the spaniard fast Castling into Crossbows. This was followed by lots of extended xbow+mangonal fights, but TaToH managed to boom up far more than slam, and was able to grind out the game in the Imperial age with his superior economy.

Game 3

Map: Team Islands
Civilization: TaToH – Italians
                  Slam – Malay

TaToH planned for a standard water fight, but slam quickly turned the tables by landing his island and building archery ranges. Luckily TaToH scouted this before slam was able to do any damage, and walled him out and destroyed the transport ship. TaToH counter landed with some archers and kept slam bottled up in the south-west corner of his island, and then went castle age and cleared slam’s army on his army forcing the resign from slam.

Game 1

Map: Steppe
Civilization: miguel – Khmer
                  Liereyy – Khmer

Both players went for Scout rushes, but Liereyy also added in Spearmen, whereas miguel chose to forgo creating the barracks altogether to take advantage of the Khmer bonus. This decision ends up costing miguel the game as he loses control of his forward golds and never gets them back. Liereyy pushes into his base with Mangonels, Knights, Crossbows and Monks and miguel is unable to defend with pure Pikemen.

Game 2

Map: Team Islands
Civilization: miguel – Italians
                  Liereyy – Malay

Liereyy does something unexpected this game, making a transport ship in dark age to send his Scout across to harass miguel’s villagers, but this has the unintended consequence of delaying his Fire Galley production causing him to quickly fall behind on the water. Liereyy eventually starts taking back water control, but miguel lands some Archers and Liereyy has no way to defend against this land attack and throws in the towel.

Game 3

Map: Arabia
Civilization: miguel – Indians
                   Liereyy –  Indians

The standard Indian Scout rush opening for both players, not a lot of damage done by either player. Both players keep their mass Camel armies in defense while they boom for most of the castle age, and the real action began in Imperial age. Liereyy had a much wider unit composition, Arbalests, Halberdiers and Imperial Camels fighting vs miguels mono Imperial Camel army, eventually wearing him out and securing Liereyy the victory.

Game 1

Map: Highland
Civilization: Nicov – Turks
                   DauT – Turks

Small water fight in early feudal age followed by a fairly fast castle into more warships and booming economy. The early imperial fights were quite a stalemate as neither player could successfully push very far past the river crossing. DauT tried landing some Hussars to raid Nicov’s economy but that didn’t slow him down very much. Nicov eventually took control of the water with Galleons and pushed with a large army of Janissaries and Bombard Cannons and cleaned up DauT’s army with minimal loses.

Game 2

Map: Migration
Civilization: Nicov – Italians
                  DauT –  Italians

Both players started the game by fast feudalling for Fire Galleys and some Demolition Rafts. DauT took some better early engagements, but Nicov managed to get to Castle age faster, though his lack of naval presence meant he was unable to push his advantage. Neither player chose to boom in Castle age, both favouring 1 town center aggression into Imperial age. Again Nicov was slightly faster aging up, but the army number disadvantage forced him to resign once DauT reached Imperial age.

Game 3

Map: Valley
Civilization: Nicov – Incas
                  DauT – Malians

A very strange map spawn for both players, a deer patch sitting right next to the town center, along with the cows, equals an overabundance of food for each player. So much so, that Nicov doesn’t take either of his boar, instead preferring to lure and mill his many many deer. Nicov goes for a highly aggressive Man-at-Arma + tower rush, abusing one of the Incas bonus where their villagers are affected by blacksmith upgrades, allowing them to be very resistant to early Feudal units. Nicov follows up with Eagle Warriors but DauT masses a vast army of Crossbows, Elite Skirmishers and Knights preventing Nicov from doing much damage in Castle age. DauT reaches imperial age faster than Nicov and creates the perfect unit counters, Hand Cannons, Cavaliers and Siege to secure the Victory.

Game 1

Map: Serengeti
Civilization: TheViper – Spanish
                  BacT – Spanish

Aggressive Man-at-Arms from both players prepares us for this aggresive series, the only difference is BacT goes for offensive towers, while TheViper just uses his to defend his economy. Once into the Castle age, TheViper creates Knights to raid BacT and monks to defend while he gets three town centers quickly and begins booming. BacT on the other hand drops a defensive Castle and starts harassing with Conquistadors. TheViper closes the game out by reaching Imperial age first, and dropping a Castle on a large hill in front of BacT’s base.

Game 2

Map: Hideout
Civilization: TheViper – Indians
                  BacT – Burmese

TheViper decides to go completely against the meta for Hideout, and go for a Man-at-Arm + tower rush, whereas BacT is trying to Fast Castle and Monk rush. TheViper does enough damage that BacT is unable to cross the map and attack him, allowing him to reach Castle age and begin booming. Imperial age is upon the players in no time. TheViper utilising Arbalests, Elite Skirmishers, Hussars and Trebuchets vs BacT’s Elite Arambai, Elite Skirmisher, Trebuchets and Ram mix. No one is able to gain a definitive advantage, until TheViper uses his Trebuchets to cut a path through the middle fores and gut BacT’s economy.

Game 3

Map: Migration
Civilization: TheViper – Italians
                  BacT – Italians

BacT goes for a very greedy Fish boom, but theViper reaches Feudal age before BacT has even clicked up! TheViper does some damage, but not enough to prevent BacT getting to castle, just enough to give him a lead and mitigate what the superior upgrades allow BacT to do. Both players age up to Imperial quickly after this and continue fighting on the water with Fast Fire ships and also in the middle island with Condottieros. TheViper sneakily lands some Condottieros onto BacT’s starting island, causing the majority of his eco to come under threat, and BacT decides he is unable to continue.
